Parts delivery

Oh, waiting is always the hardest part, isn’t it? In this case, it’s excruciating since I’ve been waiting (and waiting, and waiting) on a 400lb pallet of goodies from James Duff!

In the meantime, I’ve been finishing up my air compressor project. Since I got that new sandblaster, I also decided to install a filter/dryer for my compressor to keep all the blasting bits nice and clean so they don’t gum up. However, installing said item required ordering two 3/8” short hoses with 3/8” fittings. Unfortunately, Harbor Freight’s version only had 1/4” fittings. So, a thank you to Flexzilla for having the correct product and Amazon for delivering quickly.

A fun side note: I didn’t realize that my pressure regulator didn’t have a way to mount to the wall. Crap. Thankfully, I have a 3d printer (a Prusa Mk4 with MMU3, if you are part of the community). I was able to whip together a simple design in no time and put myself back in business. It always blows my mind how only 5-10 years ago, that wouldn’t have been possible!

Days later…

I’ve been waiting over a week to be able to button up this post and publish. Unfortunately, FedEx Freight dropped the ball a bit and missed the first scheduled delivery date, then the second one. Apparently the parts really enjoyed Alabama because they spent about 10 days there. But a week later Chris expertly backed down our driveway and dropped a full pallet in front of the shop door. Finally! Some quick checking to verify all the items on the packing list were present and accounted for and…I have a big ol’ pile of parts to install.

I’ve certainly had worse problems.
